TRUMP'S 250TH B-DAY BASH BOMBS! NO TALENT, NO PROBLEM FOR GOLD-PLATED EVENT!

Turns out booking a 'Freedom 250' concert for the nation's semiquincentennial is harder when the 'talent' pool is shallower than a Trump Tower swimming pool, even if you promise to pay in signed Mar-a

TRUMP'S 250TH B-DAY BASH BOMBS! NO TALENT, NO PROBLEM FOR GOLD-PLATED EVENT!

Well, bless our star-spangled hearts, it seems even the grand promise of a 250th anniversary celebration can't lure musicians out of their self-respecting caves. KEYT NewsChannel 3-12, ever diligent in reporting the truly earth-shattering, breathlessly informs us that former President Trump's 'Freedom 250' concert is having a wee bit of trouble holding onto its booked 'artists.' Shocking, we know. One might think the chance to commemorate our nation's birth alongside... well, whatever talent scout managed to snag B-list acts to begin with, would be a career high. Apparently, not so much.

Now, we're not saying getting musicians to play for anything less than a private island and a solid gold toilet is difficult, but one might expect a smidgen of patriotism, or at least a desire for a hefty paycheck, to prevail. Instead, it appears the 'public-private initiative' – which sounds suspiciously like a fancy term for 'we're hoping someone else pays for it' – is finding itself without any performers. Maybe they could just get a really enthusiastic karaoke machine and a few MAGA hats in the audience. Who needs actual musical talent when you have 'spirit,' right?

Perhaps the organizers could pivot to a more appropriate celebration: a solemn reading of the Constitution, followed by a deeply reflective moment of silence, topped off with a spontaneous eruption of cheers for whoever shows up. It would certainly be more authentic than whatever lukewarm musical stylings a hastily assembled tribute act could muster. And let's be honest, wouldn't a good ol' fashioned patriotic sing-along led by a crowd of devoted fans be more 'America' than a concert no one wants to play? Just a thought from your humble Whipping Post.

Then again, maybe the real celebration is the friends we didn't make along the way. Or the artists who canceled. Either way, it's certainly a 'historic' event in its own right, just not for the reasons anyone intended. We hear 'DJ T-Rump' is still available for bookings. Just saying.
